Sharka Hyland, née en 1954 en Tchécoslovaquie, est une artiste dont le travail se situe à la jonction entre la littérature comparée et le design graphique, domaines qu’elle a étudiés au cours de ses années universitaires. Des textes de Proust, Kafka et Henri James entre autres, passent de l’impression mécanique à une mécanique du dessin. Les textes dessinés ou peints à l’aquarelle ainsi sortis de leur support prennent une nouvelle force. Sharka Hyland vit et travaille à Philadelphie.
